Speculation drabble based on spoilers for 4x14
They’re both lying side-by-side on the bed, resting their legs after dancing at the reception for four hours. There’s a sort of tension, something stretching and yielding between them. They still haven’t talked about the incident in the car, and Kurt’s mind hasn’t strayed very far at all from it since it happened, so when Blaine opens his mouth and doesn’t say “Hey didn’t we sort of devour each other’s faces today,” but instead comes out with, “I got my letter from NYADA,” it’s all Kurt can do to stare wide-eyed and make a noise of confusion.
Blaine and Sam stay up late and talk.
“I keep having dreams about him,” says Blaine, and he knows immediately from the hesitant noise Sam makes that he needs to follow that up with, “Not those dreams. It’s not even really that romantic. We’re usually in a familiar place like the Lima Bean and we hold hands.”
The lights are all out except for Blaine’s TV set up on one side of the bedroom while they tag team playing Dark Souls as a knight they created together named Gilbertus. At some point they turned the volume down and started getting into progressively deeper conversation.
“Holding hands isn’t romantic?” Sam asks.
Fic: Hiding My Heart
Summary: Blaine lives in New York with Cooper, who is now an acting teacher. He gives private lessons too, which Blaine suspects only pay so well because most of the students have a bit of a crush on Cooper. Which is fine by Blaine–until Kurt shows up as a new student.
If you want more sad Blaine on top of that visual, you should head on over to the fic, because it’s full of delicious angst and emotional suspense and it’s just all-around fabulous. ★~(◠▽◕✿)
Fic: Midnight Confessions
Summary: A Thelma and Louise Klaine AU with some serious liberties taken. Kurt convinces Blaine, his best friend, to take a break from his emotionally abusive husband and spend a weekend with him in the mountains of West Virginia. But when they stop for some drinks along the way, things take a horrific turn. And then things start to get interesting.
So here’s my attempt to do justice to this fic. It has Blaine and Kurt progressively turning into criminal badasses, and it’s written by one of the most delightful and emotion-wrecking storytellers in the fandom; I defy you to need any more incentive to read something than that.
Let’s Play BlaineQuest: Part One
Fic: Change of Luck
Summary: Once upon a time, two strangers met in New York. They only spent twenty-four hours together, a day and a night that neither of them would ever forget. One mistake, two broken hearts, three years later…
Artist’s Note: I feel like I lucked out with Kate, not just for the way she elegantly adapted my art, but for the way we can dissect a narrative together. And for that, I grant her a week’s supply worth of my thanks. If anyone else does something nice for me in the next week, you’ll have to wait.
Summary: Sometimes you need to face up to the consequences. Or how Kurt and Blaine’s lives collided in the most unusual of circumstances.
Artist’s Note: And then here’s Jen, who knew just what she wanted to write, yet she served me a catalog of other options like a waitress (quite literally), in case I wasn’t satisfied with it. I certainly am satisfied, and I’m so incredibly grateful to her and to everyone involved for making this great.
Also I had a progressive breakdown in Jen’s ask as I was reading this so quick go read it now it’s so good! \o/
Summary: Blaine - the son of a U.S. Senator - is kidnapped by an organization known as the French Underground. Kurt is a member who discovers what the leaders have done. Now it’s up to him to get Blaine out of there and back home where he belongs.
Cooper simply watched his camera bounce down the steps, unphased. “That would be a lawsuit.”
“I’ll settle out of court,” said Blaine irritably as he paced back to the bathroom.
Cooper trotted down the stairs after the abused device, calling out, “But it’ll also generate a lot of publicity, so in many ways, that was a smart move for your hypothetical career!”
